Mark Meadows Testimony Federal Court

Mark Meadows' Testimony Used Against Him in Court

Former White House Chief of Staff's Bid for Federal Court Move Rejected

US District Court Judge Steve Jones found Meadows' testimony to be incriminating

ATLANTA, Georgia - US District Court Judge Steve Jones has rejected a bid by Mark Meadows, former chief of staff to President Donald Trump, to move his criminal case to federal court. The decision came after Meadows testified in a federal courtroom in Georgia on Monday, where he admitted to questioning the results of the 2020 presidential election.

In his testimony, Meadows stated that he had helped question the validity of the election results and had communicated with state officials about overturning the outcome. Judge Jones found that this testimony contradicted Meadows' previous claims that he had no involvement in efforts to overturn the election. The judge concluded that Meadows' testimony was "sufficient to establish that he was involved in the conspiracy to overturn the election" and that there was "no basis" for moving the case to federal court.

Meadows is facing charges of voter fraud and election interference related to his alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election in Georgia. The charges stem from a Fulton County grand jury investigation into the election. Meadows has denied the charges and is expected to stand trial in Fulton County Superior Court later this year.
