The Boston Bruins are currently over the salary cap for the 2022-23 season and need to be cap compliant by Oct. 12. But general manager Don Sweeney has his work cut out for him.

For now, the 2022-23 math is not kind to the Bruins. It is possible, depending on who breaks camp with the varsity, this could change. A mere $1 million hike to an $82.5 million ceiling in 2022-23 and ever-rising salaries have put the Bruins in a precarious position.
