Luke Newton, who plays Colin Bridgerton in the popular Netflix series, has revealed that former co-star Regé-Jean Page gave him advice ahead of season 3.
Newton told Entertainment Tonight that Page, who played the Duke of Hastings in season 1, advised him to "be yourself" and to "enjoy the experience."
"He just said, 'Look, you're going to be great. Just be yourself, enjoy the experience, and don't let the pressure get to you,'" Newton said.
Newton is returning to Bridgerton for season 3, which is set to premiere in two parts on May 16 and June 13. The season will focus on Colin's slow-burn romance with Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).
Newton revealed that he thinks fans will be "really happy" with how Colin and Penelope's relationship develops in season 3.
"I think it's a really beautiful love story," Newton said. "It's a slow burn, but it's worth the wait."
Newton is also excited about the new additions to the cast in season 3, including Hannah Dodd, who will play Francesca Bridgerton, and Daniel Francis, who will play Marcus Anderson.
"They're both great actors and I think they'll bring a lot to the show," Newton said.
