What is Valley Fever?
Valley fever is an infection caused by the inhalation of airborne spores of the Coccidioides fungus. This fungus is found in the soil of certain areas of the Southwestern United States, Mexico, and Central and South America.
Symptoms of Valley Fever
Symptoms of valley fever can range from mild to severe. Mild symptoms may include fever, cough, fatigue, and muscle aches. Severe symptoms may include pneumonia, meningitis, and even death.
